Defrost, discard and dispose of
A cost-effective and safe way to recycle cooling units: Thanks to the system solution which includes the Cross Flow crushing technology, it is ensured that hazardous gasses are not released from the process uncontrollably and that pure material batches are generated.
The technology at a glance:
- suitable for cooling units with Pentane and CFC insulation
- operation in batches
- in an inert atmosphere composite materials are disintegrated and ground by means of our Cross Flow crushing technology
- material is crushed down to particles with a homogenous and arbitrarily defined grit size (>10 mm)
- degasification of the charging material during the mechanical treatment inside the shredding machine
- recovery of propellants by means of cryogenic condensation
- optional degasification step for PU powder inside the drying tower
- extraction of cooling liquid and oil by means of drilling heads and pliers prior to the crushing step
- multi-stage treatment process that consists of dismantling/disassembly, crushing/disintegration of composites, screening/classification and sorting
- choose between fully or partially automated and manual sorting steps
- plants consist of individual components which can be added or removed according to the specific requirements in each application
